Some History..
2015 – Melanie and Daniel started doing marquee weddings at the farm with just tipis or marquues.
The decision was made to limit the number of outdoor weddings to 5 a year to avoid the impersonal “conveyor belt style” weddings hotels tend to do.
2016 – We introduce some glamping accommodation with two Pods.
2018 – We plant over 600 trees onsite creating various areas. Landscaping improvements continue in 2018
with a new driveway and parking area.
2019 sees the complete re-build of our old cattle barn which was used to store hay for many years into a unique rustic barn wedding
venue. Our 10 year old daughter Maisie appropriately found a new name for the business, re-naming the business from
“Brook Cottage and Camping” to The Haybarn. We later add more glamping with two Yurts.
2021 – We plant some 2000 new trees ! We discontinue out yurts and replace them bell tents.
2023 – A change of direction / management, the Haybarn becomes a center for Retreats, Wellbeing events, and now offering a fantastic venue for
Pagan / Celtic weddings and handfasting – All with Zero alcohol policy!
Going forward into the future
Our mission is to become the go venue in the midlands for retreats and wellness events, a hub attracting like minded folks, and beautiful souls. A special place when you can host your Pagan wedding too in South Shropshire. We continue to limit the number of weddings a year, for the best possible experience. A community hub for those who love nature, holistic events, love and health.
Our facilities are continually evolving and we wish to thank each one of our special couples for trusting The Haybarn with their big day. Especially in our humble beginnings which gave us the drive to make our place better and better each year.

We have had the best time of our lives, we loved the cottage and your pods, so comfortable, the grass on the field was immaculate,
(Dan leave the lawnmower alone for a few minutes) hehe. Ed loved the vintage bar you suggested. Having the cottage and wifi
was really useful for us to be on site to oversee all the last minute preparations.
Dan thanks for picking up Fred at the train station, you are a star. It could not have been any better, since you have asked us to give
you a referral, we would like to let other potential couples know to go ahead and book this place, it is an amazing experience and
everything you need is available. Good value for money too.
