FAQs once you have booked

The happy couple can arrive from 10:00 am on the first day of the rental period. Additional days can be hired if available should you need more time to set up or break down in particular with marquees and tipis. This must be arranged at least one month before the big day!

Elopement weddings, and midweek weddings may have different check in / checkout times for the happy couple.

Your arrival times, and rental end times will be explained in our booking conditions and booking confirmation email. Non staying guests are required to leave by midnight on the wedding night.

Yes we have rustic rectangular dining tables, and benches for use in the barn.  This is included in your price and will be set up for you according to your guest numbers.

FESTIVAL WEDDINGS: Our table and chairs are not available for use outdoors, or in a marquee. This can be hired from a rental company. (we can put you in touch)

No, this can also be hired if needed (we can put you in touch). Often your caterers will be able to assist.

No, this is something you need to hire or ask your caterers.

Yes,  you chose exactly what and when you serve your guests. You will need to arrange all of your catering. We can put you in touch with several companies if you need to.

The barn will be locked at 12:00 (midnight) when all non staying guest need to make to vacate, all access gates and parking areas will be locked at 12:00 (midnight). Marquees and tipis have the same finish time.

It is not possible to extend this time.

The bar opening time varies according to the type of wedding you have, such as a wednesday Elopement wedding, or intimate wedding, or week end tipi or barn wedding. Generally the bar will close at either 11:00pm or 11:30, as we will lock our doors and gates at midnight.
This would have been discussed with you when you made your booking and also found on your summary email following your deposit payment.

Your guests will be able to book directly with ourselves one month before you wedding.
Payment is required at the time of booking. Each accommodation will require a damage deposit from your guests.

Pods, Yurts, and Guest room check in is 1pm

Check out is 10:30am at the latest. It is not possible to check out later as we do have an exclusive hire policy we must honour to all couples using our venue.

No, we offer accommodation only, all guests will need to be made aware of this when booking.

Complementary Tea and coffee is available with some of the glamping accommodation

We do reserve a space for the wedding car where possible, guests will all need to park on the designated parking area. There is a no car policy on the campsite. Access from the parking area to the barn or wedding field is easy.  There should be about spaces for 22-24 cars. Should you require additional spaces in a field please talk to us about this as this must be pre-arranged for about 14-16 more cars (weather dependant too).

Guests need to be aware that all gates and parking areas are locked at 12:00pm

Most caterers will have gazebos or a trailer depending on the type of catering you have they may need to
use a section of your tipi of marquee. Do discuss this with your caterers and arrange with your tipi company.
We will also be communicating with your caterers.  If you are having a marquee wedding, you may need to consider extra space for a catering section. Marquee suppliers do provide this when requested.

Bars come in all shapes and sizes, from vintage caravans, to more simple set ups.  If you hire the barn you can get the bar to set up in an area of the barn or just outside, if outdoors you can set up where you wish, however from experience bars are best set up on the hard standing gravel areas.

Each couple wants something totally different, and generally dress the space themselves or contract a wedding venue dresser. We do however have a few items such as buntings, glass jars etc.. We can show you the options.

We do encourage car sharing, as our parking spaces are limited. However buses and coaches will not be able to use our driveway as it is not suitable. Buses can drop off and pick up passengers in the village, or down the lane. We will show you.
