FAQs once you have booked

The happy couple can arrive from 10:00 am on the first day of the rental period.
Additional days or hours rental can be hired if available should you need more time to set up or break down in particular with marquees and tipis. This must be arranged at least one month before the big day!

Your arrival times, and rental end times will be explained in our booking conditions and booking confirmation email. Non staying guests are required to leave by midnight on the wedding night.

Yes we have rustic rectangular dining tables, and benches for use in the barn.  This is included in your with weddings price and will be set up for you according to your guest numbers.

Our table and chairs are not available for use outdoors, or in a marquee. This can be hired from a rental company. (we can put you in touch)

No, this can also be hired if needed (we can put you in touch). Often your caterers will be able to assist.

Yes,  you chose exactly what and when you serve your guests. You will need to arrange all of your catering. We can put you in touch with several companies if you need to.

The barn will be locked at 12:00 (midnight) when all non staying guest. Please make your guests aware that all access gates and parking areas will be locked at 12:00 (midnight). Marquees and tipis have the same finish time.

It is not possible to extend this time.

The alcohol free bar opening time varies according to the type of event you have..
The bar will close at 11:00pm, as we will lock our doors and gates at midnight.
This would have been discussed with you when you made your booking and viewing.

The bar is a Dry / Conscious bar so no alcohol is served. Your guest should respect your wishes, and our policy 
and not bring drinks of their own.

 

You will need to confirm with us the exact guest numbers and accommodation needed one month before you wedding.
Where extra cost is involved, payment will be required before your rental starts.

Pods, and Bell Tents check in is from 5pm

Check out is 11amm at the latest. It is not possible to check out later.

No, we offer accommodation only, all guests will need to be made aware of this when booking.

Complementary Tea and coffee is available with our PODS

We do reserve a space for the wedding car where possible, guests will all need to park on the designated parking area. There is a no car policy on the campsite. Access from the parking area to the barn or wedding field is easy.  There should be about spaces for up to 28 cars. Should you require additional spaces in a field please talk to us about this as this must be pre-arranged for about 30 more cars (weather dependent as it is on grass).

Guests need to be aware that all gates and parking areas are locked at 12:00pm

Most caterers will have gazebos or a trailer depending on the type of catering you have they may need to
use a section of your tipi of marquee. Do discuss this with your caterers and arrange with your tipi company.
We will also be communicating with your caterers.  If you are having a marquee wedding, you may need to consider extra space for a catering section. Marquee suppliers do provide this when requested. Your Caterers will need to inform us if they are cooking using gas or electrics, and what appliances they will be using
so that we can sure our site can accommodate their needs.

We will book our official zero alcohol bar for you. The bar will be positioned under the old Oak tree or by the service gate.
You can also ask the bar to supply you with an additional internal bar for the Barn or tipi. 

Each couple wants something totally different, and generally dress the space themselves or contract a wedding venue dresser. We do however have a few items such as buntings, glass jars etc.. We can show you the options.

We do encourage car sharing, as our parking spaces are limited. However buses and coaches will not be able to use our driveway as it is not suitable. Buses can drop off and pick up passengers in the village, or down the our gravel Main entrance. 
We cannot stress enough that you need to pre-book transport. 

Taxis will not turn up for several hours if guests book at midnight !
