Postponing your Wedding? Find out how we can help!

Sadly for so many engaged couples they are having to put their wedding dreams on hold due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Cancelling your wedding day is by no means ideal but if you have found yourselves in this unfortunate situation then we have pieced together a few tips to help you through this time:

Contact your Main Wedding Venue

With the main wedding season fast approaching it is likely you have been in contact with your venue to discuss what your options are. However, in these extraordinary circumstances there are no guidelines for them to follow and so it may be that you, like so many other couples, may have to cancel or postpone your wedding day.

Contact your Wedding Suppliers

Do not hesitate to give all your suppliers a phone call and let them know if you are cancelling or postponing the wedding. Have a chat and discuss the possibility of rearranging the wedding plans, details on deposits or payments. Be sure to follow up any discussions with an email asking them to confirm the discussion and the agreed arrangements.

Contact your Wedding Guests

It might be upsetting for you and your guests to hear that your special day has been postponed, but know that everyone will understand the situation. It’s best to be as clear as possible with your guests when you let them know, and leave no room for ambiguity. A simple text or email and if needed an update on your wedding website is all that is needed to advise that the wedding has been cancelled and a new date will be advised in due course. Be sure to contact them to let them know at the earliest, so those that have made travel plans can act accordingly.
